Cabbage & Peas Sabzi

Usually I make Cabbage stir fry with just green chilies and some basic tadka, which goes well with rice. But today I wanna try and make a cabbage Sabzi that goes with roti.So tried this recipe and threw in some peas that I had in hand .I must say it paired up well with rotis.
Ingredients:
Cabbage-1 medium, shredded
Tomatoes-2 medium, finely chopped
Capsicum-1 large, sliced
Onion-1 large, sliced
Green peas- ½ cup
Ginger- 1 inch julienned
Garlic-5 cloves, sliced
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Chilly powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1tsp
Garam masala- ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-2tbsp
To temper:
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Channa Dal- 1tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp

How It Happened:
1. Heat a kadai, add oil, and when the oil is hot, add the ingredients given under the “to temper” list.
2. When the dal have turned golden brown add ginger and garlic and when they change colour add the onions and cook until it’s transparent.
3. Simmer the flame and add the turmeric, chilly and coriander powders and some salt, and cook for 2 minutes until the raw smell goes off.
4. Add the tomatoes and cook covered until they are mushy.
5. Then add peas & capsicum stir well and add the shredded cabbage and cook covered in medium flame for 5-7minutes.
6. Open the lid, add garam masala and stir well and cook for 1 minute.
7. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

Notes:
*If you are using frozen peas thaw it in microwave for 2 minutes before adding it.
*You can add boiled potatoes .You can also skip peas and capsicum.
*Add garam masala towards the end , as overcooking of the dish can spoil the taste and flavour of the dish.
